Reshaping your Baba Tree Basket

Your basket may get warped in transit from Ghana. If this happens, worry not - restoring it to its original shape is easy.

1. Hold the basket’s handle (or the top of the basket) with one hand and firmly push out the basket from the center of the base with your other hand.

2. Fill your bathtub, sink, or deep container with cool water and immerse the basket up to just above the basket’s rim. Just make sure that any leather trim does not come in contact with water.

3. Let the basket soak for about a minute, then take it out and shake off the excess water.

4. Let the basket sit for a couple of minutes to allow water to penetrate the straw.

5. Push the basket back into shape. To get a flat bottom, finish the shaping princess by pushing the base against the floor while holding onto the basket’s rim.

6. Allow to fully dry away from the sun to prevent color fading. Meanwhile, consider using the water to water a a tree or a plant.
