Taking Care of Your Ezcaray Mohair

Responsability crafted from the hair of the Angora goat, Ezcaray’s extra fine mohair is soft, warm, cozy and extremely durable despite its delicate appearance. When treated with care, it will last a lifetime.

General Care

Store your mohair in a cool, dark place. Do not store in plastic as the fibres need to breathe.

For day-to-day care, brush your scarf or blanket with a hard clothes-brush in the direction of the nap. Coax gently to keep it fluffy and tangle-free.

If needed, steam your mohair to restore the pile (a kettle or iron may be used, held approximately six inches from the fabric)

How to remove stains

Due to its anti-static properties, mohair does not attract much dirt. However, in the case of stains such as fruit juice or coffee, promptly spot clean your mohair with a gentle detergent or shampoo. Liquor and spirit stains should be treated with pure alcohol. Lay flat to dry.

In the case of larger stains, bring your scarf or blanket to a trusted dry cleaner.
