The story of the Rocking Horse began with a discovery in Fritz Hansen’s archives by the heritage team in 2021. They uncovered two photographs of a unique rocking horse prototype from 1946, a long-forgotten treasure. Intrigued by this find, the Design and Product Development team embarked on recreating the piece using only the photos as reference. Unlike typical rocking horses, its rocking mechanism was ingeniously integrated into the horse's body, adding both a sculptural quality and complexity to the project. This meticulous recreation honors the company’s proud design legacy.
The rocking horse is brought to life today as a decorative piece. It is important to note that this is not designed as a functional seating item or toy and should not be sat on or used for play.

We currently only ship to Canada and the US (except PO boxes, APO/FPO and US Territories).
Your order will be shipped DDP (Delivery Duty Paid) so that you don't have to pay extra fees upon delivery. Please allow 2-10 business days for delivery from receipt of tracking. Add 5 business days for shipments to Canada.
Free shipping on orders above $175USD is applicable to USA and Canada orders with exception of Hawaii and Alaska where air shipping rates apply.
Selective items categorized as furniture, rugs, and lighting are also exempt from free shipping. A shipping charge for these items will be charged on your order at check out.
We hope you’ll love your purchase. In case you need to make a return, you have 30 days from receipt to send eligible items back to us, with the exception of furniture and rugs. You have 14 days from receipt to send eligible furniture and rugs. Items that are customized or special ordered are not eligible for return.
